Smoke and Mirrors part 2:

Preparation for the festivities started around 11am. Patti and I actually started earlier at 8:30am so we could put a little bit of body paint on Amy Lynn and Morgan King of Daytime Tri-Cities. :)

Everyone gathered at Nelson Fine Art around 11am-12pm on Friday and started their works of art.

"People's Choice" Award!

Two Couture takes first place at the Smoke and Mirrors body art show in Johnson City!! Since it was organized by us it may have been a conflict of interest, but the judging was done entirely by the attendees and counted by a non-attached party. We painted all day to create our bird/fish theme, double-sided art display. Twins Sarah and Anna Ringley helped make it exceptional! They were so patient and resilient.

And last, but most importantly, to all of the fabulous attendees that came out on a busy Friday night and participated in the very first body art show in Johnson City. You all made the night rock! We were encouraged, grateful and completely filled up with all the kind words and positive feedback. Thank you so very much from the bottom of our hearts. Every one of you is deeply appreciated and we hope you'll tell your friends and family to come check out Nelson Fine Art and Paul Bishop's beautiful display that will remain in the gallery all month. Makeup workshops coming to Johnson City!

Ren and Patti at the Beverly Hills Hotel, 19th Annual Night of 100 Stars

Patti and Ren will be teaching a variety of classes in downtown Johnson City at the studio of Paul Bishop very soon. ~Color Theory: Get up close and personal with color theory like never before. We will mix our own individual color wheels and learn how colors relate to each other. Use this information to make color selections and open up the world of color as it relates to makeup and clothing.

~It's all about eyes: From smoky and dramatic to soft and natural, everyone wants to know how to make the best of their eyes. Learn about shading, eye shapes, contouring and bringing out the beauty in your own eyes. From color choices to techniques and tools, you'll leave feeling more confident than ever.

~Le Peaux: Focus is on beautiful skin and how to best prepare your skin for makeup application. Color is beautiful, but texture is oh-so-important. A skin care regimen can be simple and invigorating, helping the skin look radiant no matter what you wear. Primers are more important than ever and we'll show you which ones really work. From skin care to primers and foundation, we'll help you get ready to show off the freshest, most radiant you.

~Use what you've got: In this class, we'll have participants bring their basic makeup products and help them learn how to use them better. We've all made those purchases we regret, but often, a new technique or tool can change everything. We'll help you discern which products are really working for you and which might need to be heading for the makeup afterlife! Make the most of your products in this informative and inspirational session.

~Lovin' those lips: The most ignored feature on many faces are the lips. Pucker up, because we'll show you the most fantastic, beautiful lips ever. From the perfect and flawless red lip to a subtle, natural pout; all the techniques you'll ever need to create gorgeous lips for any look. We'll also show you tricks for keeping those lips healthy and conditioned when you're not wearing any color.

~Seasonal trend: Find out what is hot for the upcoming season and how to best utilize the current trends. From color to style trends and how they are translated for every day use. We'll see what's happening on the runway and learn to use it for inspiration, helping you be your own best style expert. Don't be a slave to fashion, make it work for YOU!

~Building a model portfolio: So you want to model? What's next? In this workshop we'll explore what works and what doesn't, where to put your money and when to say "no way". How to start building a model portfolio that really helps you get where you want to go. If you're interested in taking it beyond the workshop, we can help you actually build your unique portfolio with makeup, hair, wardrobing and photo sessions that put you at the top of your game.

~Custom classes: You bring the friends (minimum of 10 people present) and choose the topic/focus, we'll provide the instruction and tools for an interesting, informational and fun-filled session.

~Personal styling: Feel like you need more personal attention. Let Patti and Ren spend some two-on-one time in consultation to help you learn more about choosing clothing and makeup that enhance and honor your personal style. Take it up a notch this season, with two experts on your side! Get trendy, get edgy or get downright glamorous...it's up to you.
